Hornbill Festival

The Hornbill Festival is promoted by The Nagaland Tourism dept. to showcase the most lavish and exuberant Naga culture and heritage. It is called as "Festival of Festivals". Named after the large exotic bird found in Northeast, which forms the center of many local folklore.People from all round the country and world throng this festival to witness the Tribal lifestyle and its practices. 

This annual festival is held from 01st to 10th December. Coincide with the statehood day of Nagaland being 1st December.

Shiva Festival

SIBSAGAR is Historic city of Upper Assam. having the highest Shiva temple (Height 104 ft. and perimeter is 195 the base)  built by the Ahom Bar Raja Ambika, Queen of King Siba Singha, in the year 1734.This temple stand on the bank of Barpukhuri Tank ( Big Pond).  Every year during the February/March Shivratri is celebrated to mark the Lord Shiva's marriage. Experiencing the Lords worship is lifetime achievement.

During the occasion a fair is organised with fervor & gaiety which is worth experiencing. From the local produce to MNC products are on the display. Sibsagar dist. administration has been promoting this Shivratri in a big way and activities are arranged to visit the near by Ahom era architecture , i.e Rangghar, Kareng ghar, Moidams etc.

Ambubachi Mela

This annual Mela ( fair) is held in Guwahati, Assam. The temple is dedicated to Hindu Goddess Kamakya. Celebrated during monsoon. It is believed that Goddess Kamakhya of Shakti ( Power) goes through her menstrual cycle during this stretch of time.During the four days celebration many Tantrik baba visit this for Tantric fertility.

For complete three days the temple remain closed and . Every year lakhs of devotees visit here to observe this festival and blessings of mother Kamakhya. Experience the Power of  Mother Kamakhya.

Sangai Festival

Named after the state Animal , Brow-Antlered Deer found in Manipur SANGAI Festival held  from 21st  to 30th November every year. A platform for Manipur to showcase Manipuri Arts & Culture, Handloom, Handicrafts, Indigenous Sports, Cuisine, Music and Adventure sports of the state. Manipur's rich tradition and culture is highly appreciated and it is backbone of this festival. 

Coinciding with the festival one can visit World famous Loktak lake ( The floating lake). Polo ground to enjoy the polo game, kayaking,ancient  Krishan Temple etc.
